2025 Lodging Tax Funding Applications Now Available
The City of Lacey (City) Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is accepting applications for the use of 2025 lodging tax funds. Organizations that promote tourism in the City of Lacey and its Urban Growth Area are encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, August 30, 2024. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
Each year, the LTAC reviews applications for lodging tax funding and makes a recommendation to the Lacey City Council on the use of lodging tax revenues. The recommendations are based on the LTAC’s mission to invest lodging tax revenues in community events and projects that attract the greatest number of visitors and tourism dollars to Lacey.
Interested organizations can access the online application at CityofLacey.org/2025LTAC. Applicants may be required to give a follow-up presentation, at the discretion of the LTAC. Presentations are anticipated to take place September 19.
Lodging tax revenue is generated through a four percent (4%) hotel-motel tax imposed by the City on each room rental night. Local hotel and motel operators collect the tax and remit it to the Washington State Department of Revenue (WSDOR). WSDOR distributes the tax to the appropriate local government, in this case, Lacey.
