City Council Proclaims June 17 as Juneteenth Day

During their June 1 meeting, the Lacey City Council proclaimed June 17 as Juneteenth Day in the City of Lacey and encouraged all residents, businesses, and community members to explore this important celebration of American culture, history, and pride.

In addition, all community members are invited to attend the Juneteenth Celebration, hosted by the Fred U. Harris Masonic Lodge in partnership with the cities of Lacey and Tumwater. The event will take place on Saturday, June 17 from 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Regional Athletic Complex. Get more event information here.
