Congresswoman Strickland Joins the City on a Tour of the New Public Safety Facility
Last week, the City had the pleasure of taking Congresswoman Marilyn Strickland on a tour of the new, state-of-the-art Public Safety Facility, currently under construction. This once-in-a-generation project is nearing completion, and we were honored to have the opportunity to show her how it will strengthen public safety for our community.
Once completed, the facility will enhance police operations and provide resources designed to serve our growing city for the next 30-40 years. In addition to police operations, the new facility features:
- A modern Training Center
- An Emergency Coordination Center (ECC)
- A Community Room
- Improved Officer Facilities
- … and more
We anticipated the new facility to be open and operational by the second quarter of 2026.
Thank you for your support, Congresswoman Strickland!
The City would like thank Congresswoman Strickland for her efforts in supporting this project. Although federal funding remains unknown, we appreciate her advocating for the generator to power the ECC as one of her community projects last year.
Congresswoman Strickland’s visit highlighted the strong partnership between City, state, and federal leaders who work to ensure our community has the tools and resources needed to stay safe and resilient.
We truly appreciate your ongoing support!
