This event is hosted by the Women’s Dignity School – a recipient of the 2026 Community and Cultural Events Grant.

Women’s Dignity School is hosting its very first West African Cultural Event.
Date: Saturday, August 8
Time: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Huntamer Park

Manimou Camara, a master drummer and dancer from Guinea who now leads Dounia Djembe in Seattle, will perform and instruct lessons at this event. You’ll have the opportunity to learn authentic dance steps and taste the classic West African peanut butter sauce, known as Tiga Deguè Nah in Mali.
