Lacey Encourages Residents to Take the 2025 Community Survey
Beginning May 19, the City of Lacey, in partnership with Polco, will launch the 2025 National Community Survey to gather input from community members. The results will help inform future City priorities, including projects, programs, and services. The City intends to conduct this survey every two years to track changes in community needs and perceptions
over time.
Who Can Participate?
Randomly selected households within the Lacey city limits will receive a postcard with instructions on how to complete the survey. If you receive one, please share your input by participating. However, do not share your unique survey link with other community members.
If you don’t receive a postcard, you’ll still have an opportunity to take the survey. In late June, the survey will open to all community members. To participate, you can register for a Polco profile at Polco.us/n/Res/Signup and you’ll be notified when the community-wide survey becomes available. If you prefer not to pre-register, you can find a link to the survey on our website in mid-June.
The City strongly encourages all residents to take the survey. “Your voice matters,” says Mayor Andy Ryder. “Community feedback plays an important role in shaping Council priorities. The more responses we receive, the better we can serve everyone. Help us build a better city—together.”
Background
The survey was developed by the National Research Center at Polco. It captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of Lacey’s overall livability. Survey results will highlight Lacey’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The City will also be able to compare its results to those of similar communities across the country.
Polco is committed to a strict privacy policy, designed to keep community responses confidential and protect personal data.
