Lacey Seeks Library Board Member

The City of Lacey (City) is currently recruiting for one unexpired term on the Library Board. The term expires on February 2, 2030. Applicants for this vacancy must reside within the Lacey City Limits.

The six-member Lacey Library Board, comprised of five general members and one youth representative, assists in developing long-range plans for library services in the City. The Library Board meets on the third Thursday of January, April, June, and October at 5:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE.

To help reduce barriers to participation in government and increase representation, the City’s Advisory Board members are eligible for a $50 stipend per meeting, up to $500 per year. This aims to offset expenses such as childcare coverage during meetings, transportation to and from meetings, internet access to meetings, and other direct financial impacts.

How to Apply

To apply, submit an application online. The vacancy is open until filled, and the first review of applications will occur within 30 days of this notice.
