Lacey Seeks Library Board Members

The City of Lacey (City) is recruiting for two vacancies on the Library Board:

  • A first term, expiring February 6, 2031. Applicants must live within the Lacey City Limits or Urban Growth Area.
  • A first term, expiring February 6, 2031. Applicants must live within the Lacey City Limits.

The six-member Lacey Library Board, comprised of five general members and one youth representative, assists in developing long-range plans for library services in the City. The Library Board meets on the third Thursday of January, April, June, and October at 5:30 p.m. at Lacey City Hall, 420 College Street SE.

To help reduce barriers to participation in government and increase representation, the City’s Advisory Board members are eligible for a $50 stipend per meeting, up to $500 per year. This aims to offset expenses for participating on an advisory board, such as childcare coverage during meetings, transportation to and from meetings, internet access for meetings, and other direct financial impacts.
