Lacey Seeks Poet Laureate Applicants
The City of Lacey (City) is accepting applications for its 2026-28 Poet Laureate Program (Program), now through Friday, February 6.
The Program recognizes an outstanding local poet who serves as a volunteer ambassador for poetry, literature, and the arts. Through public readings, community programs, and creative collaborations, the Poet Laureate helps elevate diverse voices, expand access to the literary arts, and highlight Lacey’s cultural richness.
“The Poet Laureate Program reflects Lacey’s continued commitment to creativity, inclusion, and community connection,” said Mayor Andy Ryder. “We’re excited to welcome a Poet Laureate who’s passionate about engaging community members of all ages and backgrounds.”
