Lacey Fireworks Spectacular

Where? Rainier Vista Community Park | 5475 45th Ave SE
When? Friday, July 3 | 4 – 11 p.m.

Ring in the Fourth of July early at our annual Lacey Fireworks Spectacular event! Live entertainment, food vendors, and a Kid Zone filled with non-stop fun will keep you busy (and full) all night. Once it gets dark, put on your 3D glasses and watch a fireworks display synchronized to music. A special shout-out to our sponsors! Thank you, PEAK Credit Union and South Sound Center for supporting our fireworks, and Lacey Collision for our free 3D glasses.

Want to learn more about the Lacey Police Department (LPD)? The Community Academy shows you the ins and outs of the LPD, including facilities, training, firearms and less lethal tools demonstrations, outreach practices, and more!

Make a Difference in Our Local Waterways

Sir-Drains-A-Lot, Pinky and the Drain, Drainy McDrain. Those are just a few of the adopted drains in Lacey. Volunteers adopt-a-drain, give it a name, and help keep it clean to reduce flooding and protect our waterways. Participants can also receive incentives and fun prizes throughout the year.

Explore the 2026 Water Quality Report

Great news! The 2026 Water Quality Report confirms the City continues to meet or exceed water quality standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Washington State Department of Health.

Pick up the report at any City public facility! It is also available on our website in six languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, simplified Chinese, and Tagalog.

Public Input Wanted: Stormwater Strategic Plan

Stormwater is rain or snow that flows over streets, parking lots, rooftops, and other hard surfaces. Managing that runoff plays an important role in reducing flooding, protecting waterways, and maintaining water quality throughout the community. Our 2026 Stormwater Strategic Plan outlines our projects and goals for the next nine years. Give us your feedback and help shape the future of our stormwater program!

The public comment period closes on Monday, July 20 at 5 p.m. For more details, visit the stormwater webpage.

Help Keep Bears Wild

Spring means everything grows — including a bear’s appetite! Once bears awaken from hibernation, they begin to hunt for food. They can smell food over a mile away, and your trash might be their jackpot. This strong nose has led them to Lacey before, creating a safety risk for community members and the lost bear. Together we can work to keep bears in the wild. Remember to keep garbage locked up until trash day, pick your fruit trees, and feed your pets indoors.
