Overview
Neighborhood and homeowner associations (NAs and HOAs) work to create cohesive places for people to live. They give neighbors opportunities to work together to create safe, enjoyable communities.
NAs and HOAs help:
- Build stronger relationships and pride among neighbors.
- Create a unified voice to city government.
- Empower residents to identify community needs and create positive change.
The Public Affairs Department offers resources to help NAs and HOAs accomplish these goals and build community connections.

The City hosts an annual Homeowners’ Association (HOA) Academy in November for HOA board members in Lacey and Lacey’s Urban Growth Area neighborhoods.
This conference-style event features presentations from professionals knowledgeable in HOA legal issues, board responsibilities, dispute resolution, neighborhood safety, and more.

Pre-registration is required and lunch will be provided.
$35 – Lacey & Lacey Urban Growth Area Board Members or Managers ($10 discount for additional members)
