Police Media Release

The Lacey Police Department and Lacey Fire District 3 responded to a residence on fire in the 3900 block of 21st Ave SE at 2:11AM. The home was fully engulfed upon their arrival. Lacey Fire worked to extinguish the fire.

Upon investigation, it was discovered that a 17-year-old male and a 10-year-old female appeared to have died in the fire. A 44-year-old female was taken to the hospital for treatment. They are believed to be the only three people in the home at the time.

Currently, there is an ongoing joint investigation between officials with the Lacey Police Department and Lacey Fire District 3 to determine the circumstances surrounding the fire. Additional details may be released as they become available.

Our hearts go out to their family and friends as they deal with this unimaginable loss.
