Project Background

The proposed project consists of a 2,834-square-foot expansion to the east side of the existing Providence Regional Cancer System medical facility. The addition is designed to complement the architectural character of the existing building while enhancing pedestrian interaction along the street-facing façade through the use of storefront glazing, articulated wall planes, sunshades, varied parapets, and material transitions. The expansion will reinforce the existing streetscape along 3rd Avenue SE and utilize exterior materials consistent with the surrounding medical campus architecture, including brick veneer, metal panels, and glazing.
