Project Background

This project was awarded to Western United Civil Group, LLC.

The City of Lacey is installing a water transmission main along Pacific Avenue (SR 510) from mile post 4.84 to mile post 5.40. Work includes water main installation, roadway resurfacing, and landscape restoration. Work will be completed at night at the request of WSDOT. Work is necessary to continue fulfilling our commitment to provide community members with a safe and reliable supply of water.

Update 4/18/2025

Starting Monday, April 21st, Western United Civil Group and Lakeside Industries, Inc will be grinding up the road the full length of the construction zone for the City’s 400 Pressure Zone Transmission Main capital project. Tuesday night they will be paving the south side and going southbound direction with the flow of traffic on Pacific Ave/WA 510. On Wednesday night they will be paving the intersection of Chatham Dr and Pacific Ave SE/WA 510 and then heading northbound with the flow of traffic on Pacific Ave/WA 510. Temporary striping will be installed. Permanent striping will be installed two weeks later. The work will be performed during the hours of 7:00 pm to 6:00 am and will require lane closures with flaggers to direct traffic. This work is weather dependent. If possible, please use alternative routes.

Construction starts on this project today, Monday Feb 10th. The majority of the project will be performed at night time. Construction is to go on through the end of April.
