Residents Invited to Register for the Lacey Community Academy

The City of Lacey (City) invites community members to register for the second annual Lacey Community Academy (Academy). This 7-week Academy is an interactive, hands-on program designed to give participants a deeper understanding of how the City operates. The course is open to people aged 18 and older who live in the Lacey city limits or its Urban Growth Area.

Program Highlights

Academy participants will:

  • Learn more about Lacey government, including operations, services, ways to get involved, etc.
  • Interact with City Councilmembers, City leaders and staff, and other civic-minded residents.
  • See taxpayers’ investments at work.
  • Enjoy behind-the-scenes tours of City facilities.

The Academy takes place on Thursday evenings from 6 – 8 p.m., beginning April 16. The City will accept applications until March 23 or until all spots are filled. Space is limited to 18 participants.
