In partnership with North Thurston Public Schools (NTPS) the SRO program supports elementary, middle, and high schools in the NTPS District. The Lacey Police Department has three School Resource Officers assigned to work in the schools, where they assist with incidents that may occur on campus and help build relationships with students, families, and staff.
They are instrumental in keeping our schools safe so kids can focus on learning. Having an officer in schools supports safety and also provides a connection with students, parents, and children.
