Sean Smith Receives Public Service Award

During their June 1 meeting, the Lacey City Council awarded Sean Smith, Lacey Law Enforcement Officers & Fire Fighters (LEOFF) Disability Board member, the City’s Public Service Award for his volunteer participation on the LEOFF board since 2011.

Councilmember Lenny Greenstein described Smith as an incredible contributor who always has something to add to conversations and is always prepared at every meeting. Lacey Mayor Andy Ryder said Smith might be the longest-serving public official in Lacey besides himself.
Ryder added that Smith has always ensured that “the people who have worked for Lacey are being taken care of.”
