Shannon Kelley-Fong Receives Outstanding Assistant City Manager Award

Assistant City Manager, Shannon Kelley-Fong, recently received the Washington City/County Management Association Outstanding Assistant City Manager of the Year award at their annual conference last week. This prestigious award honors exceptional achievement and exemplary work by a local government professional who provides invaluable support to a chief local government administrator/manager and has made significant contributions toward leadership excellence.

“It’s my honor and privilege to congratulate Shannon on this esteemed award,” said City Manager Rick Walk. “During her time with the City, she’s led initiatives to improve work efficiencies across several departments, developed and implemented the Council Policies and Procedures, their Workplan, and the City’s Communication Plan. She’s also spearheaded the City’s DEIB efforts with the formation of the Commission on Equity and the Strategic Plan, updated our legislative processes, and countless other contributions. We value her endless efforts and are thrilled she received this well-deserved recognition from her peers in the state.”
