City of Lacey Source 4 Supplemental Well Project

The City of Lacey is working with the Capitol City Golf Estates Homeowners’ Association (CCGE HOA) to amend their covenant for Lot 60, 6230 W Sarazen St SE, from residential to commercial designation. This will enable the City to construct a well house/water treatment facility that will help strengthen and stabilize the long-term water supply for the entire city and urban growth area, including the CCGE neighborhood.

The utility project will fully comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Frontage improvements
  • Noise ordinances
  • Environmental and permitting requirements

To respect the character of the community, the facility will be designed to blend in with surrounding homes. This includes:

  • Appearance similar to the Well Source 4 facility located at 6100 W Sarazen St SE.
  • Landscaping and architectural elements that match the HOA’s standards.

This improvement will directly support water reliability for our community and water utility customers. We encourage CCGE property owners to vote and pass this resolution to enable the City to construct these important facilities.

Wastewater Lift Station 4 – Relocation Project

The City of Lacey is in the early stages of a utility project to relocate Wastewater Lift Station 4 (LS4). The station currently sits in City right-of-way along the north side of 25th Ave SE at its intersection with Hicks Lake Road SE. Built in 1974, LS4 has reached the end of its useful life, and no longer meets current standards for size, safety, or security.

At the March 4th, 2026 Parks, Culture, and Recreation Board meeting, Public Works staff presented two potential new locations for LS4, both within Wanschers Park. During public testimony, community members strongly opposed these locations. In response, the Board recommended that the City conduct additional environmental and financial impact analysis.

Based on this feedback, the City is conducting additional outreach and analysis to evaluate additional options for relocating Lift Station 4.
