2024 Lodging Tax Funds Applications Now Available

The City of Lacey (City) Lodging Tax Advisory Committee (LTAC) is accepting applications for the use of 2024 lodging tax funds. The Committee encourages organizations that promote tourism in the City of Lacey and its Urban Growth Area (UGA) to apply. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023.

Interested organizations can access the online application at CityofLacey.org/2024LTAC. Paper applications must be delivered in person to Lacey City Hall (420 College St SE) or postmarked by 5 p.m., Friday, September 1, 2023. Applications received after the cutoff will not be considered and will be returned to the sender. The City will transition to online applications for lodging tax funds in 2024.

Annually, LTAC makes a recommendation to the Lacey City Council on the use of lodging tax revenues. Lodging tax revenue is generated through a four percent (4%) hotel-motel tax imposed by the City on each room rental night. Local hotel and motel operators collect the tax and remit it to the Washington State Department of Revenue (WSDOR). WSDOR distributes the tax to the appropriate local government, in this case, Lacey.
