Project Background
This contract provides for the expansion of the RAC parking lot at the corner of Steilacoom Road and Marvin Road to include, but not limited to: Grading, paving, striping, stormwater, illumination, landscaping, CCTV infrastructure installation, electrical vehicle charging station installation, and other construction work. This contract has been awarded to Miles Resources, LLC.

We are pleased to announce the new parking area at the Regional Athletic Complex is now open for public use. Final finishes will continue through the summer, but disruptions to use will be minimal. Thank you for your continued patience awaiting completion of these improvements.

Parking lot is OPEN!

Lane Closure for Striping
Expect partial lane closures on Steilacoom Road near the RAC for striping operations on Wednesday, May 8th.
Traffic will be alternating one-way from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Steilacoom Rd (Eastbound) at Marvin Rd SE will be closed
Steilacoom Rd (Eastbound) at Marvin Rd SE will be closed for paving on Friday, April 19th between the hours of 7 PM – 5 AM. The Westbound lane will remain open for one-way traffic and emergency vehicles.
Please use alternate routes if possible – flaggers will be stationed to provide detour access through the RAC; the park will remain closed for visitors after park hours.
Paving will continue on the new parking lot through the week of 4/22. This work is weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change.

The north Steilacoom Road Entrance to the Regional Athletic Complex will be closed intermittently the week of 3/4 between the hours of 7:30AM and 3:30PM for construction. Access to the Regional Athletic Complex will be available from the western entrance from Marvin Road.

Steilacoom Road Entrance to the Regional Athletic Complex will be closed intermittently
Tomorrow, Wednesday February 7th 2024, the north Steilacoom Road Entrance to the Regional Athletic Complex will be closed intermittently between the hours of 7:30AM and 3:30PM for construction. Work includes grading and forming new sidewalk and ADA ramps. Expect delays in the area. Access to the Regional Athletic Complex will be available from the western entrance from Marvin Road.

Starting Monday January 29th and extending into Wednesday January 31st, the north Steilacoom Road Entrance to the Regional Athletic Complex will be closed intermittently between the hours of 7:30AM and 3:30PM for Construction. Construction work includes but is not limited to forming and pouring of new sidewalk and ADA ramps. Expect delays in the area. Access to the Regional Athletic Complex will be available from the western entrance from Marvin Road.

Construction work will include, but is not limited to the following: Pavement saw-cutting, electrical conduit installation, and pavement repair. Expect delays in the area. Access to the Regional Athletic Complex will be available from the South-West Marvin Road entrance.
