Lacey Police Department’s Community Resources Unit (CRU) provides outreach services to Lacey’s most vulnerable community members. Currently, the CRU has two police officers who respond to people who are homeless and in need of behavioral health and/or social services. The program’s goal is to help unsheltered individuals enter, engage, and complete the necessary steps to achieve a safe residence and a return to stability, health, and productivity in the community.
