Lacey Historical Commission Honors Paul Webb as 2024 Ken Balsley Lacey Historian of the Year

Paul is the son of Richard Webb, a founding member of Lacey Fire Department who also served on Lacey’s first City Council. Born in Lacey’s historic neighborhood, Paul followed in his father’s footsteps, serving 45 years in fire service.

Paul spent thousands of hours researching early Lacey, the Lacey Fire Department, and its service club origins. Paul’s research culminated into a fascinating and lively book called History of the Lacey Fire Department -The First Decade.
