Public Art Background
Kite Girl welcomes drivers to Lacey at the city’s boundary on Pacific Avenue SE and the Chehalis Western Trail Bridge. The city acquired this installation in 1998 from artist Gary Price for a cost of $13,000. Kite Girl’s brother, Kite Boy, can be found on the northern boundary of the city at Sleater Kinney Road SE.
