Lacey Hosts Human Services Grant Application Workshop June 27

The City of Lacey (City) is hosting a human services grant application workshop for eligible nonprofits that are considering applying for the new Human Services Grant Program (HSGP) funds. The workshop will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27 at Lacey City Hall Council Chambers (420 College St. SE) and online.

Workshop attendees will learn about the HSGP eligibility criteria, priority focus areas for funding, application timeline, the grant application, and required attachments. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

The City has up to $300,000 available for non-profit human service providers serving Lacey community members. Eligible programs or projects must meet basic human needs for housing, survival, or security.

Priority focus areas of the HSGP include:

  • Housing: expanding and upgrading affordable housing programs, emergency rental assistance, housing education, creating and maintaining supportive housing services
  • Survival: access to food, water, shelter, sleep, and clothing
  • Security: job training and placement, mental and physical health care, drug and alcohol recovery services, support in times of personal or family crisis, and transportation.

The HSGP application period runs from Thursday, June 27 to Friday, July 26, 2024.
